Tile inspired by Japanese art of paper folding

lunadabaytileWith the introduction of Origami Mosaic glass tile, Lunada Bay Tile has taken inspiration from the ancient Japanese art of paper folding.

Delicate angles and subtle geometry emulate the techniques and visuals seen in the iconic art form and recreate them in three-dimensional glass mosaics, the company says.

The tiles are available in four mosaic patterns. Nami, which means “wave” in Japanese, is a 1 x 1 square mosaic. Sway is a 1 in. hexagonal mosaic.

Vesper is a 3/8 x 2, martini-shaped mosaic in a pearl finish.

Vesper Twist blends 3/8 x 2, martini-shaped mosaics in a pearl finish and Agate Martini in a silk finish.

Available are 12 x 19 concept boards to showcase some of the ways the glass tile can be coordinated with other Lunada Bay tile collections.
